ICL Polysulphate 0-0-14 25 kg Features:
Polysulphate is a mineral fertilizer providing four essential nutrients and a rich source of micro-nutrients, promising guaranteed quality and yield increase.
Contains four key macro-nutrients: sulphur, potassium, magnesium and calcium in every particle.
This natural four-in-one mineral fertilizer is finally available in our country. Countless trials worldwide have proven that Polysulphate produces outstanding results in any crop grown.
What is Polysulphate?
Polysulphate is the trade name for the naturally occurring mineral polyhalite.
- 48% SO3 (19.2% S) covers the total sulphur requirements of plants and improves their performance.absorption of nutrients (such as nitrogen and phosphorus)
- 14% K2O (11.6% K) in the form of potassium sulphate to improve crop qualityand maintain plant health
- 6% MgO (3.6% Mg) in the form of magnesium sulphate, an essential element for photosynthesis
- 17% CaO (12.2% Ca) in the form of calcium sulphate for cell division and strengthening cell walls
Polysulphate : long lasting sulphur replacement
Much of Europe's arable land is sulphur deficient, as this key element is not being replenished from the atmosphere as it was a few decades ago. However, the presence of sufficient amounts of sulphur and potassium is essential for proper nitrogen utilisation.

A practical guide for potato growers on the use of Polysulphate
- Low chloride Polysulphate is a sulphate-based nutrient source that provides water-soluble potassium, magnesium and calcium to plants. It provides the total sulphate, magnesium and calcium required by potatoes and also replaces most of the potassium lost at harvest. Its neutral pH does not affect the soil.
- Large amounts of potassium are lost from the cycle when potatoes are harvested. To make up for this, it is recommended to work potassium chloride into the soil a month or two before the next planting in addition to applying Polysulphate. This is enough time for the unwanted chloride to leach away in the soil with the rains and not cause problems for the young roots.
- 400 kg/ha Polysulphate is the general dose for potatoes. Application is recommended mixed into the soil before planting or at planting, even mixed with other fertilizers.
- Long-term nutrient uptake provides continuous nutrition for growing plants.
Application rate in proportion to the nutrients required 400 kg/ha Polysulphate applied to a potato field yielding 50 t/ha.
Practical guide for cereal growers for the application of Polysulphate
- A single Polysulphate treatment is sufficient to provide the required amount of sulphates.
- Polysulphate can be used as a base fertiliser and is an excellent addition to any feeding programme as it can be mixed with any fertiliser.
- The provision of the correct proportion of sulphur is necessary to ensure that the nitrogen applied is utilised. Both nutrients are required for protein synthesis; protein content has a significant influence on the quality of the grain harvested.
- The general recommended dosage for cereals is 100 kg/ha Polysulphate, which provides the necessary sulphur and nitrogenand calcium, as well as replacing much of the potassium and magnesium lost at harvest.
- If the straw is not worked back into the soil, it is essential to ensure that the lost potassium is replenished.
- Polysulphate should be applied in early spring, just as the autumn crop is starting to grow.
- For spring crops, apply the required amount at sowing.
Application rate in proportion to the nutrients required 100 kg/ha Application of Polysulphate in a 6-8 t/ha yielding cereal field
Practical guide for rape and brassica growers for the application of Polysulphate
- Polysulphate applied to autumn-sown rape prior to sowing will provide the necessary sulphur for initial growth.
- Polysulphate can be incorporated into any feeding programme and can be safely mixed with fertilisers.
- The basic treatment should be applied in early spring, just before the start of the growing season. Thanks to the gradual, slow uptake, Polysulphate is safe throughout the growing season.S, K, Mg and Ca throughout the entire growing period without risk of leakage.
- In rapeseed, the general dose of Polysulphate for the spring basal treatment is 200 kg/ha, which covers 100% of the required S and Ca and 70% of the K and Mg lost at harvest.
- For other cruciferous crops, the general dose is also 200 kg/ha, to be applied before planting. This amount covers the plants' S and Cs requirements and makes up for most of the Mg and K lost at harvest.
- Make sure your plants get enough potassium; for ideal results, crucifers require up to 300 kg K2O/ha.
Application rate in proportion to the nutrients required 200 kg/ha Polysulphate application on rapeseed soils yielding 3.5 t/ha
