What is AgriN?
AgriN is a microbiological preparation containing bacillus licheniformis nitrobacter.
What can AgriN be used for?
As a mulch and compost treatment, it accelerates decomposition and the nutrients produced help plant growth. Even without organic fertiliser, it produces valuable compost with high nitrogen content and accelerates humus formation. It is an excellent inoculant for no-tillage.
What are the positive properties of Bacillus licheniformis strain?
The Bacillus licheniformis strain in AgriN is capable of rapid multiplication. It obtains its energy mainly from cellulose by decomposing plant residues. Consequently, the treated plant waste is transformed and composted in a short time. In the course of its extraordinary reproduction, it has a huge demand for nitrogen, which it always takes up in the most readily available form. This can be manure or even atmospheric nitrogen, so the nitrogen cycle works both ways.
How does Bacillus licheniformis work?
It is able to fix atmospheric nitrogen and supply nutrients to plants, while at the same time utilising ammoniaammonia, which it uses to dispose of manure and even regulates fermentation in the rumen of ruminants. This bacterium is found in natural, healthy, biochar soil. However, it is not found in soil that has been eroded and damaged by pollution, inappropriate agrotechnology and fertilisation. The bacillus licheniformis in AgriN makes the soil alive and supplies nitrogen to plants without fertilisers. But it always needs plant cellulose to work! It breaks down plant waste more quickly than its competitors, such as pathogens that also gain energy from stem decomposition.
It narrows the habitat of pathogens:
By narrowing the habitat of pathogens, it reduces the spread of infectionsBy limiting the spread of pathogens, the spread of infections and helps to achieve no-tillage.
Dosage:
10-20 g/10 litres of water, which is sufficient to treat 100 m2 of mulch or 10 m3 of compost base material.
Fields of application:
Can be used in all crops, applied to mulch, or by incorporation of stem residues (e.g. green manure), or as a ready-to-use compost. In the case of normal mulch, it is recommended to apply it by sprayer to start fermentation over a larger surface area at a time. When applying green manure or stubble, spray it in one pass.
When composting:
For composting, it is sufficient to treat once when the prism is assembled. In this case, the dissolved AgriN is added to the plant waste by sprinkling in several layers. The process can be accelerated considerably if a small amount of animal manure is applied in addition to the AgriN during the first treatment. Increasing the number of germs applied improves the efficiency. It cannot be overdosed as it is a natural, indigenous species. The optimum temperature for the bacillus licheniformis in AgriN is 15-28 °C and it needs cellulose and water to multiply. The treatment can be carried out only once on a given organic plant waste. The resulting nutrient-rich compost can be applied at any time and in any quantity. The treated compost is left on the soil surface.
Application:
Can be applied by any sprayer or sprinkler. Do not use with bactericidal pesticides or soil disinfectants! When used, the product must be prepared as an aqueous suspension. Soaking in lukewarm water for a few hours (2-24) will accelerate and improve the effect of the product. AgriN is not fully optimised due to its high 1,6 x 10 9 (CFU/cm 3) germination and its indigenous origin.relatively effective even under less than ideal application conditions. Efficacy improves with increasing application rates. The recommended rates indicate the minimum operating level where an effect can still be detected. Always apply to crop residues!
Mixability:
Do not mix with bactericidal pesticides and soil disinfectants. .
