Mode of action and effectiveness
The active ingredient in Verimark® insecticide is Cyazypyr® - an anthranilic diamide that provides excellent protection against a wide range of key chewing and sucking pests. Cyazypyr® causes a rapid stop in the feeding of insect pests through its unique mode of action. By weakening the muscular activity of the pests, the target crop is immediately protected, even though the pests may still appear active in the stand.

Verimark® insecticide has an excellent toxicological and ecotoxicological profile. It also helps to maximise the activity of predator beneficial insect species, which can make it an ideal early crop protection partner in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes. It has minimal impact on beneficial organisms, making it ideal for use in greenhouses. Verimark® insecticide also performs well in high temperature conditions, providing growers with flexible spray options and adaptability to crop management programmes.

Suggestions for use
Verimark® Insecticide is an insecticide that can be applied by drip irrigation or by plant soaking. Best results are achieved when applied early in the crop life cycle when the crop is most vulnerable to insect pests. Pest-free plants are more vigorous and the biological stress factor can be reduced by controlling insect populations. This can create the potential for maximum yield and optimum quality. Applying early in the pest emergence period will also prevent further pest populations from developing.

In strawberries, strawberry budworm control should be applied by drip irrigation near the roots in the first third of the irrigation period, timed to coincide with the start of egg laying.

In cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts, spring cabbage fly control should be applied to seedlings before planting.

Aphids and greenhouse mealybugs in sliced peppers*, tomatoes*, eggplant* and cucumbers*,
thrips, burrowing moths, tomato moth (Tuta absoluta) by drip irrigation at a rate of 0,4 l/ha, based on forecast and plant inspection. The product is applied through a Venturi tube directly to the plants via the irrigation channel. The application of the product is recommended to start at the beginning of the growing cycle after crop rotation before the introduction of beneficial organisms. Treatments can be applied 1-4 times per growing cycle. The preparation can be used in integrated pest management. The use of the preparation is beneficial for biological control of beneficial macro-organisms (Orius laevigatus, Amblyseius swirskii, Aphidius colemani).
