Carbon steel blades with antifriction PTFE (Teflon) coating for easy cutting and cleaning.
Optimised "shock absorbing" surface construction gives a comfortable, secure grip.
The retracting end of the handle prevents the axe from slipping (the hand can slide along the handle where it needs to, but it stops securely at the end). New head geometry and rounded edges make it easier to remove the axe from the log when splitting.
