Have your own tomato garden, grow professional seedlings from rooted cuttings!
The package contains rooted cuttings of 6 professional tomato varieties.
Variety composition:
-Cookie (Early variety. Cookie is a very early variety with an excellent flavour harmony. The fruits are of high quality, with a unique taste and unique texture.)
-Maestria (A vigorous-growing, tasty, medium-early variety. High disease resistance)
-Carmello (Well-known, medium-early variety with good growth and high resistance)
-Fuji Pink(Medium-early high quality fruit with a pink tint. Hard fleshy variety with a harmonious flavour)
-Sweet Million(Very sweet bunched tomatoes with lots of small fruits on long bunches)
-Sungold(Yellow in colour with low acidity. Very sweet, vigorous growing variety with high yield)
Tomatoes are a light-hungry plant and should be planted in the sunny part of the garden. High water demand. Staking and support systems are needed for maximum yield. It is highly nutrient demanding and requires extra calcium supplementation compared to other crops. Remove the side shoots (axillary shoots) to achieve the right berry size.
The plants should be planted immediately after receipt, either in their final location (pots, pots, hanging baskets, gardens in the open ground) or in pots 12-15 cm in diameter for pre-growing. Even after this, the plants require constant care. Plants should be transplanted to larger pots at any time during the growing season when the plants are out of place (about 2x as windy rainfall/height as the pots). The most suitable medium is generally peat, such as lVirgin soil for Floragard tomatoes 40 l a Clay soils can be improved with sand, coarse-grained peat. Sandy soils should be improved with organic fertilisers, fine peat and other water and nutrient binding materials to obtain a good yield. You will find a wide range of soil improvers in our webshop and our advisors can give you further advice. If your plants look sick (whitish powdery mildew, purple-brownish spots on leaves or fruit, or small beetles or caterpillars), start plant protection treatments immediately, and if you need help, contact our farmers' advisors at farmshop.husz who will be able to advise you. Nutrient replenishment is important even in the open ground, but is essential for plants planted in pots, crates and hanging baskets. These are not chemicals, but 'food' for the development of the plants. A small but constant supply of nutrients is the best... Care should be taken never to flood the plants, always allowing excess water to evaporate. Never plant the plants in a pot without a hole in the bottom. Too much water will suffocate the roots and the plant will die from "over-loving". Dry conditions are well indicated by soft-leaved plants with drooping leaves. In hot, sunny weather, 2 to 2,4 litres of water per m2 per day are needed; in cooler, cloudier weather, 1 to 1,5 litres every second or third day is sufficient.
Watch your plants! Let's look at them every day with love!
Root cuttings are not yet finished plants, they need more nurturing!
