RECOMMENDED CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY:

Do not use near bees. To ensure the safety of bees and other pollinating insects, do not use during flowering. Do not use in the presence of flowering weeds or when honeydew is actively being carried.

In oilseed rape, control of aphids and oilseed rape weevil is recommended during the period of pest establishment in the field, while monitoring the number of imago.

In potatoes and tobacco, aphids should be controlled by application during the period of infestation, at the beginning of emergence, and repeated treatments are recommended as necessary.

Aphid control in sliced peppers and cucumbers should be started before the first colonies appear and repeated once if necessary. Efficacy is particularly high against young individuals.

In sliced peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers, treatment against greenhouse aphids is effective against the adult form and mainly against young (L1-L2) larvae. However, the efficacy against other (stationary) forms of the moth is inadequate. Control may be repeated once depending on the development of the pest population. Further control should be carried out with a different active ingredient.

In open field peppers and melons, spraying against aphids should be started at the time of establishment, but at the latest at the appearance of small colonies, on the basis of mud-grass or mud-grass monitoring, taking care to ensure uniform coverage of the leaf bracts.

In peaches, control of non-host aphid species is recommended from the appearance of the first colonies. The preparation is long-lasting and therefore a maximum of two treatments is sufficient during the summer. Spraying against green peach aphids is recommended in spring or, according to forecasts, in late summer/autumn to prevent winter egg laying.

In ornamental plants in shoots and pots, up to two applications are recommended, based on the forecast, at the time of establishment and depending on the establishment of new colonies thereafter. In the case of greenhouse aphids, treatments should be timed to control adult adults and young larvae and repeated spraying should be recommended as pest numbers continue to develop. The product scorches the flowers of the plant species Saintpaulia and Sinningia, so its use in these crops is not recommended.

Control of aphids on deciduous and evergreen ornamental trees and shrubs should be initiated at the time of pest emergence and repeated as necessary. For the control of lacewing aphids on sycamore trees, it is recommended to spray at high rates 1 to 1 per generation during mass larval emergence. The addition of an adherence enhancer to the spray is recommended. Phytotoxicity testing on ornamental tree and shrub species is required prior to use.


MODE OF ACTION, SPECTRUM OF ACTION:

Plenum is an absorbed, plant-mediated, specific-acting formulation, contact and weed-killer. It is not a classical disintegrating agent. Immediately after treatment, the feeding of harmful insects (aphids, mealybugs, sycamore lacewings) and thus further damage and transmission of persistent viruses is eliminated. Depending on the humidity of the air, the pests will die in 2-4 days in the absence of liquid and food.

In rape, the product can be used once per growing season until green bud stage or after petal fall. For other crops, use up to two applications per growing season. In view of the long duration of action of the product, a repeat treatment within 12-14 days is not recommended.

The application rate should be chosen according to the area to be protected, the type of cultivation and the type of machinery used, which may be different from the recommended rates to avoid smothering and to ensure adequate coverage, while maintaining an effective concentration.
