Cattle pasture mix (general): Genius
The mixture consists of drought-tolerant grasses and buttercups. In the established grassland, the design cover ratio of understory grasses that tolerate grazing well is 50%. Eelgrass, which is a fast emerger with good weed suppression, has a competitive rate of 10%, so it does not reduce the establishment potential of other grasses and the longevity of the pasture, as eelgrass is a short-lived grass and would not benefit from a high rate. Meadow periwinkle and red fescue are tarack grasses, allowing longevity. Knotweed is a high yielding and early growing fibre grass, providing higher yields and early grazing start and mowability of excess. Butterflies also increase the protein content of the forage and provide some nitrogen supplementation to other grassland components even in the absence of fertilisation. From the second year onwards, the white testicle vines quickly fill in gaps and suppress emerging weeds. The red testes in the hay quickly grow up and give higher yields, especially if there is no drought.
