Stix Premium Mosquito Larvae Repellent is a silicone-based formulation that is easy to apply to stagnant and standing water due to its liquid formulation. It contains no chemical insecticides and its effectiveness is due to its unique mode of action.
Use.
Practical advice: the product can be applied to the surface of the breeding water to inhibit the development of mosquito larvae and their transformation into imago. It creates a thin layer of silicone on the surface of the water, thus preventing the mosquito larvae and pupae from accessing atmospheric oxygen, which leads to their death. The low surface tension coating prevents female mosquitoes from depositing their eggs on the treated water surface. The product is effective on larvae of different mosquito species. Adult mosquitoes are not affected.
Stix Premium Mosquito Larvae Insecticide can be used to treat small or large water bodies in the vicinity of the dwelling, which are not used for (ornamental) fish and are not connected to living water, and which may be suitable for the intermittent or continuous breeding of mosquito larvae.
The use of the preparation does not alter the physico-chemical properties of the treated water (pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, ammonia or nitrogen) and does not affect the quality of drinking water. When used at the prescribed dose, the product provides adequate protection for up to 4 weeks.
