This species can grow in water up to 15-30cm deep as a water border plant. It can be propagated from corms in winter.
Early to mid-summer flowering tuberous perennial, with spear-shouldered, protruding, dark green bracts. It produces a series of funnel-shaped yellow spike flowers covered with snow-white bracts. When growing them, note that they prefer full sun, well-drained conditions.
