The Fiji Palm grows rapidly under optimum conditions and its leaves are decorative even when young! It is ideal for those who want a real tropical effect in their environment! In our country it can be grown in pots. Space requirements min. 1x1m. Height can reach 10 m in natural conditions. The Fiji palm has bright green leaves, which can grow to over 1.2m in diameter when older.
Even when young, it develops beautiful leaves! All these palms form solitary trunks (no bushes). It requires a slightly high humidity and can be kept outdoors in the summer in a semi-shaded area, sheltered from the wind, but should be moved indoors for the winter.
For its care, the general procedures for palms are used.
Minimum temperature: 17 °C
Sensitive to frost. Seed germination is easy, taking 6 to 8 weeks.
