VitiSan SP® is a preventive and curative contact fungicide and macro-nutrient fertilizer against fungal pathogens. The action is primarily based on the dehydrating effect against fungal mycelium and spores on the plant surface.
Active substance: potassium bicarbonate
Suitable for: Grapes, Apples, Asparagus, Strawberries, Cucumbers, Cucurbits, Cucurbits, Redcurrants, Blackcurrants, Raspberries, Raspberries, Cucumbers, Pumpkins, Asparagus, Courgettes, Courgettes, Watermelons, Watermelons, Tomatoes (in shoots), Eggplants (in shoots), Endive, Galambe, Lettuce, Ornamentals
Pests: powdery mildew, Varroasis, Botrytis, Stem rot.
How does it work?
It also prevents disease establishment by creating an alkaline chemistry on treated plant surfaces. Covering the pathogens with VitiSan SP® spray results in drying of their formulas and prevents infection. For VitiSan SP® to be effective, uniform coverage, complete spray coverage, should be sought on all exposed plant surfaces, which can be significantly enhanced by the addition of an additive (e.g. wetcite).
In addition to disease resistance, potassium plays an essential and key role in plant nutrient supply. By providing easily absorbable potassium, i.e. by repeated use of VitiSan SP®, the resistance and stress tolerance of the plant, especially its drought tolerance, is enhanced. The plant's resistance to pathogens, in particular powdery mildew and grey mould, is significantly increased, yields are increased and quality is improved.
Use:
Use is recommended as far as possible as a preventive measure from the beginning of vegetation or at the latest when conditions predisposing to infection occur, but also to block emerging infections due to its eradicative action. If necessary, it is recommended to apply every 7-10 days, in vineyards 500-800 (in case of high foliage 1.000-, up to 1.200) l/ha; in other crops also with a generous spray rate (according to the table), possibly adjusted to the foliage weight. In case of increased susceptibility to infection, shorter control rounds - and in case of a dose interval - higher doses are necessary. Good results can be achieved in the prevention of grey mould disease with the use of VitiSan SP®. It blocks the incipient infestation, dries out the developing mould and, if properly moistened, dries out the parts of the plant and berries that have started to rot. Can be used without risk with a 0-1 day waiting period before harvesting/harvesting. Its mode of action, different from conventional grey mould and powdery mildew control products, and its contact action make it an excellent aid for resistance management.
Useful information:
Do not mix with insecticides containing Bacillus thuringiensis! When applied with sulphur, the maximum dose of sulphur preparation is 4 kg/ha. Not to be mixed with alkaline sensitive pesticides, before co-application with other pesticides and crop protection products, a compatibility test should be carried out.
Due to the different sensitivity of the plant species/hybrids, a phytotoxicity test should be carried out beforehand, especially in the absence of previous experience. It is not recommended to combine with residual preparations in sensitive apple cultivars and a prior phytotoxicity test in ornamentals is recommended.
Storage: cool but frost-free, dry, well ventilated, covered, free from acids.
Food withdrawal period: 0 or 1 day
Other crops: 30-50g /10l water/ 100m²
