PROPOSED CROP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY
Dose
Lime crops (winter wheat, winter barley, spring barley, rye, triticale, oats): 1,0 l/ha
Maize (forage, silage): 1,0 - 1,5 l/ha
The product can be applied from the beginning of cereal till the emergence of flag leaf. The timing of application is determined primarily by the phenological status of the weeds. Seed-emerging biennial weed species are most sensitive to the product at 2-4 true leaf stage, sticky knapweed (Galium aparine) at 2-4 leaf stage; perennial biennial weed species, small sulphur (Convolvulus arvensis) are most sensitive to the product at 10-15 cm development, field acacia (Cirsium arvense) at the leaf-petiole stage. In case of heavy infestations of sticky knapweed, field acacia and more advanced weeds, use at the higher dose indicated in the authorisation document.
In forage maize, application should be adapted to the sensitive phenology of the weeds in particular. The biennial weed species emerging from seed are most sensitive to the product at 2-4 leaf stage, field knapweed (Cirsium arvense) at the leaflet rosette stage, small-leaved weeds (Convolvulus arvensis), hedge weeds (Calystega sepium) at 10-15 cm maturity. For heavy weed infestations and more advanced weeds, apply at the higher rates specified in the authorisation document.
PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
In cereals, a temperature of at least 10 0C is required for the preparation to be effective.
The preparation may be mixed with other plant protection products and liquid fertilisers.
The active substances of the preparation do not increase the protein content of the grain and COLOMBUS* EC can therefore be used in malting barley.
