A newer mode of action miticide effective against all forms of mites including eggs and fertilised females. Its low temperature dependence, long duration of action over several weeks and resistance-breaking properties make it a popular miticide.


Proposed technology:

In apples and grapes, control of leaf and spider mites is based on operational forecasts. Spray in early spring when 50-60% of overwintering eggs have hatched. In the case of grapevine leafminers, this means when the vines are in the small-leaved stage. Only one treatment per season is recommended, as its effectiveness lasts throughout the season. In apples, pears and grapes, Envidor is recommended to be applied at 1000 l/ha of water to ensure uniform coverage against mite pests.
In pears and pear leafroll, control should be started when 40-50% of the eggs are already in the pre-hatching stage (yellow). In the summer period of vegetation, when the leafroll in pears is already present in mixed (eggs, larvae, imago) populations, the use of the product will only give partial results.
As Envidor spares the natural enemies of mites and pear leafroll, after use it is recommended to control only with a product that also spares the predator population.
The amount of spray to be applied depends on the size of the foliage, the type of cultivation and the type of sprayer (the recommended spray volume for pearl millet aphid treatments is 1000-1500 l/ha).

Recommended crop protection technology:
In apples and grapes, control should be based on operational forecasts. First control should be applied in early spring when 50-60% of overwintering eggs have hatched. Treatment should be repeated when the rate of mite multiplication warrants it. A maximum of 2 treatments per season is recommended. In apples, pears and grapes, Envidor is recommended to be applied at 1000 l/ha water to ensure uniform coverage against mite pests. For pear fruit fly, control should be started when 40-50 % of the eggs are already in the pre-hatching stage (yellow in colour). Good efficacy can also be achieved when young larvae are still predominant at the time of treatment.
